Still raining. Took the Dog for a walk anyway cause, that's what we do. That last uphill part was a pure bitch this morning though. Legs got tired really fast.
SWMBO and I drove to the Walmart in Shelton to get a battery charger/conditioner thingie (cause solar just ain't doing the job here in the dead of Winter and Rain). That was $20. THEN we spent another $120 on "stuff." SWMBO bought herself a new dress. Bet she'll look great in it.
We got to talking about old friends and such on the way home. I don't remember what brought him up, but, I mentioned Timothy Paul Howard from the Upward Bound program in Yuma way back in 67-68 and his sister, Connie Maye Howard, who's pants this barely 19 year old Sailor really wanted to get into in 1971. She (SWMBO, not Connie. Nevermind) got online and has found both of them mentioned, but hasn't found their actual location. I had a regular row with her (Connie's, not SWMBO's) Dad where he even wrote my CO on the USS Dixie (AD-14) and told him to ORDER me not to ever see his daughter again. Yeah, that worked. Connie's Dad finally gave up and said she could do whatever she wanted to do. Which she promptly did; just not with me.
Been watching YouTube video's about modem's and setting and such wanting to make ours more secure and, maybe, a bit faster. After about an hour I learn that the modem we're using from CenturyLink is outdated and about to be replaced. (Or I should replace it; not sure.) Tried to log in to my account but it doesn't recognize anything I type in for user/pass. ??? I know I haven't contacted them in about 6-7 years (I pays my bill automatically and haven't had any problems) so I'm not really surprised they've forgotten me. Tomorrow I'll do their online chat thing and find out what's going on. Probably.
The modem I'd choose is $236 on Amazon. Which means CenturyLink with double that "because."
Pulled the plug on the solar and got the battery charger/conditioner thingie hooked up and working. Still charging but I knew it was going to take awhile. Club net tonight @ 1930 and I have enough power for that.
Anywho, that's all that's going on around here. Been raining all day so the Dog and I did only the morning walk. Trip to Shelton where I also got a Whopper Jr for lunch. Which is starting to wear off. Hang on ...
Big chunk of my Turkey and some crackers with veggie cream cheese spread took care of that problem.
Ain't I excitin'!
[My donkey would like a midget and a yacht, please.]
