Areas of frost after 1am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 32. Calm wind.

As the AP reports, experts are "baffled" that in unvaccinated Africa, where there have been no lockdowns, there are very few covid cases and deaths are a tiny fraction of those in Europe and the US per capita. Personally, I blame the Internet. Or, the fact that some bushman in deepest Africa gets better, faster, cheaper Internet than we in America do. I'd like to thank all our ISP's for that if I may.

During my visit to the Doc last Wednesday he had a chest (and left knee) x-ray done. When he came back he said he had "good news and bad news." Like, Oh Shit.

Good news is that my knee doesn't look as nearly fucked up as I thought it would and may require only stopping the pain for awhile to get it on the road to recovery. Good luck with that. I figure I'll have to lose only 40 lbs or so to stop that pain.

The bad news is that my Doc thinks that my heart is a bit swollen. Probably from the covid but we won't know until I get to my new appointment with the cardiologist. (Luckily the same cardiologist I saw for the stress test last year.)

But now: Checking "My Chart" it says in the X-ray results: Heart and mediastinum: Cardiac silhouette is normal in size. So, WTF?

Is this where my Doc jumps out and yells "PSYCH!"?

We had our Date Day (first in 12 weeks!) last Friday at FPH in Port Orchard. Nice being out with her. Nice that she was home and able to go out for brunch. Nice that she's still My Girl.

Not a whole lot going on. Took SWMBO to the Genealogy Library yesterday so she could play with her other genealogy friends. I did some "damn I forgot to get ..." shopping at Walmart and ate at Popeye's. (Turns out I'm a KFC guy. Popeye's just didn't taste right.) Got her home just before her O2 bottle ran out. (We're getting to refill stage ...)

Took her to church today. Turns out I just cannot sing with a damned mask on. But, she got to show me off. Some ladies came up and said "I didn't know you were married!" Go figure. (I'm sure they were just kidding. Maybe.) No thunder or lighting. No earthquake. I didn't burst into flame. Almost like I was supposed to be there or something.

Otherwise: SSDD. Which is mostly what I strive for.

Everyone seems to be in such a hurry to scream 'racism' these days:
A customer asked, "In what aisle could I find the Polish sausage?"
The clerk asks, "Are you Polish?"
The guy, clearly offended, says, "Yes I am. But let me ask you something. If I had asked for Italian sausage, would you ask me if I was Italian? Or if I had asked for German Bratwurst, would you ask me if I was German? Or if I asked for a kosher hot dog would you ask me if I was Jewish? Or if I had asked for a Taco, would you ask if I was Mexican? Or if I asked for some Irish whiskey, would you ask if I was Irish?"

The clerk says, "No, I probably wouldn't."

The guy says, "Well then, because I asked for Polish sausage, why did you ask me if I'm Polish?"

The clerk replied, "Because you're in Home Depot."
